Thomas S. Tooma, M.D., Medical Director
Dr. Thomas S. Tooma currently limits his practice to refractive surgery. He has performed over 60,000 surgical procedures. As a principal investigator in excimer laser technology, he has taught hundreds of eye doctors refractive surgical procedures and has certified many ophthalmic surgeons in excimer laser surgery. He has been a participant and an invited speaker and surgeon at many national and international meetings.

Jonathan Ramin Pirnazar, M.D.

Dr. Pirnazar graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at the Chicago School of Medicine in 1995. He then completed his residency at Washington University in St. Louis where he stayed on faculty as the Chief of University Eye Service.
The doctor then pursued a corneal refractive surgery fellowship at the University of California at Irvine, where he joined the faculty in 2001 as an Assistant Professor. Over the past five years Dr. Pirnazar has trained Residents and Fellows in the art of LASIK surgery as well as Anterior Segment Surgeries.
Dr. Pirnazar has performed thousands of refractive and cataract surgeries and is published in several respected journals including the American Journal of Ophthalmology and Ophthalmology Times.

Laurel Jensen, O.D. - Clinical Director

Dr. Jensen has served as a Clinical Director for TLC Laser Eye Centers since April of 1997. She earned a B.S. degree in biology from UCLA in 1990 and received her Doctor of Optometry, with distinction, from the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) in 1995. She then went on to complete her fellowship training in the treatment and management of ocular disease and low vision at the VA Hospitals in Seattle and Tacoma. In addition to her clinical and administrative responsibilities, Dr. Jensen fills a role as consultant and educator within the optometric community. She has also lectured and provided hands-on training for optometry students as an assistant professor at SCCO. In this capacity, she has gained tremendous experience in the pre-operative and post-operative treatment of over 18,000 refractive surgery patients.
